ALOHA JACQUELINE

Wind

by Aloha Jacqueline

· Soul Poetry

Watching the light fading

Behind the mountains

I feel the cool air on my skin

As the sun takes its last sip of air

Above the horizon

And disappears

As darkness descends

And the street lights

Arrive for night duty

I feel this feeling inside me

Growing

Of how life feels

Sweeter

Deeper

Because of you

Smiling knowing somewhere

The wind is caressing you

And even though

I sit at this table alone

I feel you here

Next to me.
